Carl-Strüwe-Archive Bielefeld
The Carl Strüwe archive is a private scientific facility for the collection and maintenance of plant and estate of Bielefeld graphic artist and photographer Carl Strüwe (1898-1988). With his book Formen des Mikrokosmos. Gestalt und Gestaltung einer Bilderwelt (Forms of the Microcosm. Shape and Design of a New Imagery, Munich 1955), he founded the art of photomicrography as a separate pictorial subject.
The scientific archive was founded in 1992 by its owner Prof. Dr. Gottfried Jäger and represents since then contractual the artistic and legal interests of its eponym.
